Tuesday October 18, 2005
pumpkins.jpg This recipe is commonly found on family altars during Los Dias de las Muertas or "Days of the Dead." It is similar to candied yams, and a great use for pumpkin. After Halloween, all of the leftover pumpkins go on sale and it is the perfect time to enjoy the fall harvest with a multitude of pumpkin recipes. Try this recipe for Candied Pumpkin with a cinnamon and brown sugar glaze and you may never go back to yams again. And if you like them now, they just may end up on your Thanksgiving menu too.
