All About Tequila

Tuesday November 8, 2005
tequila3.jpg In mid-September, "Feria Nacional del Tequila" (National Tequila Fair) is held in Jalisco, Mexico. Regulations restrict tequila production to specific regions in the states of Jalisco, Guanajuato, Michoacán, Tamaulipas and Nayarit. Jalisco, however is known for the majority of the highest quality, premium tequilas. The annual fair gathers tequila makers from around the country to demonstrate how it is made. The fair also features rodeos, mariachi music and fireworks and it usually runs for about 2 weeks. Enjoy your favorite premium tequila in this favorite Lime Margarita or perhaps you'de like to sip some tequila with some Sangrita on the side. For a citrus flavor, try this Tequila Twist shot with your friends or for some intense heat, a shot of Tequila Fuegomight be up your alley. One of the best places to relax and enjoy a cool drink is Cabo San Lucas, so try Sammy Hagars version of a margarita with this Waborita. Any way you mix it, take some time out to enjoy this authentic Mexican drink.
