Capirotada- Mexican Bread Pudding

Tuesday November 29, 2005
capirotada.jpg This delicious, warm dessert is stuffed with apples, raisins, pecans, orange zest, cinnamon, and topped with a piloncillo syrup. Of course the original sweet version was basically bread, sprinkled with raisins, nuts and baked with the piloncillo syrup. But as recipes get handed down, wonderful new additions are made until the end result is chock full of wonderful new flavors. Enjoy some Capirotada after one of your holiday meals, you won't be disappointed.
