Plantain Chips- Crunchy, Flavorful and Perfect for Dipping

Tuesday January 10, 2006
2plantains.jpg On a recent trip to Mexico I was looking for a quick snack and decided on a bag of Plantain Chips. I had forgotten how delicious they are. They are the perfect blend of crunchiness and saltiness and they are even better when paired with a great Salsa. But why buy them when you can make them at home. If you can't find plantains (they look like a large, thick, green banana) then ask your grocer to get some for you or check a farmers market. Impress your friends and your tastebuds by putting out a bowl of them with your usual appetizers.
