Thursday April 13, 2006
Cinco de Mayo (The fifth of May) is a Mexican holiday which commemorates the victory of the Mexican militia over the French army at The Battle Of Puebla in 1862. It is sometimes mistaken for Mexico's Independence day which is on the 16th of September. It is mainly celebrated in Puebla but has expanded into other parts of the country as well as Nothern America. It is generally a fun fiesta that celebrates Mexico's culture, including food, drink and custom.
