"International Festival Gourmet" in Puerto Vallarta

Tuesday November 11, 2008
Gourmet food and drink lovers will be visiting Puerto Vallarta during November 13th through the 23rd for the "International Festival Gourmet." They will be able to experience delicious local dishes from the local chefs as well as chefs from around the world. They will also be able to participate in several dinners with chefs and winemakers from regions all over Mexico. Highlights include a cocktail evening where participants get to meet the famous chefs and discuss the food with them. Some dishes they might enjoy would be Papadzules which is a mayan dish of tortillas with a stuffing of hard-boiled eggs and topped with a squash-seed sauce. Many versions of mole are sure to be tasted such as this Mole made with guajillo chiles. And we can't leave out traditional Mexican Tamales which are sure to be enjoyed in many different varieties. Try some of these recipes yourself to experience a taste of the "International Festival Gourmet."
