Chile en Nogada
Today in Puebla, they will be celebrating the countries national dish of chile in walnut sauce, with the Festival del Chile en Nogada. The dish is peppery and creamy with a nutty taste. It commemorates the Mexican flag with a green chile, white sauce and topped with red pomegranate seeds. During the festival, the competition for the world’s largest chile will take place with the Guiness Book of World Records presiding. See the recipe here.
