  • 5 cups chicken stock or broth
  • 3 cups pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 5 cloves of garlic, peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and diced into 1/2 inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped

chorizo pumpkin soup, Member ceel

Very good recipe. Tastes better the second day--like most soups. The flavors meld together. I reduced the chorizo so the pumpkin would not be hidden by the chorizo flavor. Nice soup to eat in the winter. I liked the way it had fresh vegetables added to it after you heated the soup. It adds nice crunch and contrast for the palate.
