For baked tacos, use the pre formed taco shells, stand up in a non stick foil lined pan, fill with meat mixture, and press shredded cheese down ontop of meat mixture.in each shell. Put pan in preheated hot oven, 475, for about 5 minutes. Cheese will be melted and corn taco shells will be hot and crispy and a little browned. Then each person can add the chopped tomato, black olives, lettuce, salsa etc. at the table. Have table, drinks and toppings all ready before putting tacos in oven. Much better than cold tacos from a taco bar. Think I will try the original directions for baked tacos as an enchalada recipe and add heated enchalada sauce and top with cheese after I take them out of the oven. As I am looking for an easy recipe for enchaladas.
