Grows in a bulb that can break up into cloves. The cloves are peeled and then used whole, diced or crushed. Garlic is a popular seasoning and can be found in many forms including powder, jarred, fresh, and pickled.
Garlic can also be roasted to bring out an entirely different flavor. Roasted garlic is very soft and the flavors are very mild. In its roasted version it is usable as a spread for crackers or bread.
