Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon lard or butter
- 1 1/2 cups long grain white rice
- 1 fourteen oz can of beef broth with onions
- 1 fourteen oz can of fire-roasted tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup water
Preparation:
Substitutions- You can add 2-3 cloves of chopped fresh garlic instead of the powder. If you don't have beef broth with onions, you can add 1/4 cup chopped onion when you saute the rice. If you don't have fire roasted tomatoes, chopped or diced tomatoes will be fine. Just make sure they do not have any additional seasonings.
