Turn the tomato upside down and slice a paper thin slice off of the bottom. This is what your tomato will sit on so it doesn't roll away.

For a text-only version to print and bring into the kitchen see the Step-By Step.

  1. Slice bottom off
  2. Place tomato upright
  3. Slice a "petal" off of tomato
  4. Cut petals until all flesh is removed
  5. Discard seeds and prep tomato for dicing
  6. Flatten a Petal
  7. Slice petal lengthwise
